We sent our taxes in mid jan this year and yet they still haven't put up that they have received them and they definately haven't been done...wish the irs would get their act together...I have decided that we are not chasing them anymore for their incompetence....it costs us so much money each time I have managed to get through it has been 2 hours plus on a cell phone across the world and so not worth the expenses....we never get any paperwork from them in regards to taxes...so guess if not done in the next year or so we will follow up...I just can't be bothered anymore...not worth the hassle!!

Key point: As of July 8th, currently the backlog is 11.2 million returns, so you are not alone.
Paper-filed returns are a particular headache, unfortunately.

dido...yes we get that and we have no choice but to do do paper-filed returns...but not following up anymore...if we haven't heard by next year tha maybe...but just don't care...no-one there knows what they are doing anyways
