bought a car

May 6th, 2020 at 12:23 pm

Well hubby found a car he liked today and $2700 cheaper than we were going to spend, its used but that is fine we don't do a lot of driving anymore...we haven't actually seen the car yet but have paid for it and should be able to pick it up tomorrow, we find out in the morning..so we are a bit excited.

My daughter got her rental today and will move tuesday so we bought her a washer so that come out of the budget as well and she had to pay for her electrical appliances (fridge/microwave) they will deliver straight to her new place..so she is excited

tomorrow is payday so I can put some of the money spent today back into the saving account and then decide the best way to get rid of our old car but not today

We have a big storm that is suppose to be coming through for next 3 days...hopefully not to bad but having big trees around scares me as they are huge trees....and we have already had 2 limbs come down since we have lived here..lucky they both missed the house

Why won't you know until tomorrow about the car? Is that how car sales in Australia are usually done? It seems unusual to me.

Did you get the car checked out by a qualified mechanic? Having bought several used cars myself, it only worked out well when I had it checked out by a mechanic. Some used car sellers are dishonest.

Petunia, we had to do a money transfer from one bank to another which can take up to 2 days it usually doesn't so thats why we woud find out today but all good he has gone to pick it up now...and I just got the insurance done on it!!

Yes the car yard has it checked by RAA which is the states qualified mechanics, its a big company and they can't advertise it without having it done and they sent me a copy of the report that the RAA has done on the car so all good I am on the ball with that...I ask a ton of questions and if they can give me what i want then I will walk..I don't deal with shonky people

We got a holden wagon...just an upgrade from ours it has plenty of room in the back for all my hubbys stuff when he goes out prospecting/camping etc...hes a bit excited...to me a car is a tool thats it...just loved that we could pay cash for it
