do you use a gym?

Do people actually use gyms?

We are lucky that we live in the hills and they are beautiful so I use these to get a lot of exercise (when I can) the hills are like a treadmill going to different levels and we see so much wildlife...at home I have a dvd and a pedal bike thing that we use on our arms and legs...I think that covers a lot of exercises that you can get at a gym..and its free..so money saving, get great fresh air..I'm just wondering if people use gyms anymore?

    I use a gym. I go 4-6 days a week.

They have a pool, and I swim laps for a half hour most days.
I also take a few classes each week, Zumba and an ab class, sometimes something else.
I lift weights three times a week.
I use other cardio equipment for warmup or for a change in my routine.

I live in a city and I walk for transportation. I have done that for so long that it doesn’t feel like exercise to me. I walk at least 40 minutes almost every day, sometimes as much as two hours if I have a lot of errands. About half the time I am carrying groceries or my gym bag or both! And I live on the top of a hill - 400 steps to the top.

For me, the gym is social as well as exercise.
I’ve had to take a break due to a non gym injury for five weeks, and I am excited to start again this week.

I no longer use a gym, but my husband does . I have access, just choose to exercise outside walking most of the time.

I use a gym -- Planet Fitness, every three days for strength training on their machines. I get my cardio by walking around the neighborhood. My gym membership is free with my Medicare Advantage plan.

I do not use a gym, mostly because I can't afford, but it is also much easier to exercise at home and not have to go outside in the cold or heat. I have a weight bench, free weights, and can easily do any kind of yoga, weight lifting, or stretching I want. So, even if I could afford it, it seems silly. I would like for my husband to join the Y, though, as he needs to help his joints. It's the only place in town with an indoor pool.

I don't use a gym. I have an exercise bike I ride. Years ago I went to a sort of exercise place called "Curves" and although when I stuck with it, it was good, but then work got in the way and I wound up paying and not going. Decided it was not money well spent.
