Archive for April, 2026lower tax returnApril 9th, 2026 at 01:40 amSo we got our tax return into the bank it was $192 where we figured it to be $522 so hopefully we will get paperwork to say why it is so low...but I guess happy that it has finally been processed since they had it for 10 plus weeks, frustrating but cant say it suprises me...will probably take a couple months for the letter to get here..so will see homeless HBO showApril 7th, 2026 at 01:28 amSo I was watching this old show (filmed in 2010) called homeless - the motel kids of orange county. They live right by disneyland in california. This hotel was a dump, they had bed bugs, so many people on drugs/drinking etc..some of the families were working they were all cramped in 1 room sometime a couple of families...the kids were picked up and went to a free school that went all year and they got breakfast and lunch (not that it was great food) it was sent to the school the school didnt cook it or anything...but these kids were mostly aged 6-11 and the way they talked about living in parks etc before they moved into the hotel was heartbreaking...near the end they asked the kids what they looked forward to...they all said nothing..I have nothing to look forward to...broke my heart such young kids already feeling so defeated in life...I am hoping some of those kids made a good life for themselves would love a follow up...and the thing is I know that life is so much harder now then it was then it just breaks my heart. I always said to my hubby that if we ever won lotto I would buy a hotel and house the homeless it would have a large kitchen, plenty of room s and help people to get on their feet, there would be no drinking or drugs permitted etc...there is a homeless charity here that we support and I would gift it to them to run and help more people...I just wish I could do more tha just buying food for the homeless around our area |
